Follow this perfect & easy homemade lemonade recipe to refresh and cool yourself after a hot day out!

A glass of lemonade is balanced with acidity and sweetness. It’s also the first drink in mind we’ve got when the sunny days come, and I make sure this fresh end special recipe will get you ready for a long summer ahead.

Ingredients:
8 lemons, plus more for garnishing if desired
1½ – 2 cups sugar
6 cups water, divided

Author: Divas Can Cook

Wash lemons, then roll them around on a hard surface to make a lot easier to juice.
Zest a couple of lemons, set aside.
In a sauce over medium heat, add 2 cups of water, sugar and lemon zest. Simmer till sugar dissolves and mixture has a light yellow color (about 5 minutes), then remove from the heat.
Juice lemons, strain them into a serving pitcher.
Continue train the sugar zest mixture into the lemon juice, add in about 4 cups of water. Taste to make sure it’s ok for you.
Put them in a glass filled with ice and enjoy (or you can store them in the refrigerator)! Garnish some sliced lemons for each glass.

Notes: You can make a sparkling lemonade by replacing the water with sparkling water club soda. It’s pretty good like that!

The Real Mojito

The mojito is one of the most famous rum-based highballs. There are several versions of the mojito. Traditionally, a mojito is a cocktail that consists of five ingredients: white rum, sugar (traditionally sugar cane juice), lime juice, sparkling water, and mint.

This is an authentic and simple recipe for mojito. It’s a very refreshing drink for hot summer days. Be careful when drinking it, however. If you make a pitcher you might be tempted to drink the whole thing yourself, and you just might find yourself talking Spanish in no time!

Prepare time: 10 mins
Inactive cook time: 10 mins
Servings: 1 cocktail
Ingredients: 6
10 fresh mint leaves
1/2 lime, cut into 4 wedges
2 tablespoons white sugar, or to taste
1 cup ice cubes
1 1/2 fluid ounces white rum
1/2 cup club soda

Steps: 6
Place mint leaves and 1 lime wedge into a sturdy glass.
Use a muddler to crush the mint and lime to release the mint oils and lime juice.
Add 2 more lime wedges and the sugar, and muddle again to release the lime juice. Do not strain the mixture.
Fill the glass almost to the top with ice. Pour the rum over the ice, and fill the glass with carbonated water.
Stir, taste, and add more sugar if desired.
Garnish with the remaining lime wedge.
